The FaiTH WinDoW

How often has it seemed to you that God is weird? And that He does really silly things??

More often I am plagued by this silliness and I wonder WHY? When there were a thousand other solutions to a particular problem, He picked up the most silly one and made His children act upon it.

Didn’t He seem silly when He asked Noah to build an ark as it might RAIN and flood the earth??

Didn’t He seem silly when He asked Naaman to go and bathe in the Jordan seven times?

Didn’t He seem silly when He asked Moses to lift his stick to the Red sea when He could have just parted it in advance?

Didn’t He seem silly when He made Joseph to go through the pit, Potiphar and prison to get to the King?

Didn’t He seem silly when He made Abraham and Zachariah wait for years?

Didn’t He seem silly when He wait till Lazarus was dead and buried for 4 days to raise Him up?

Didn’t He seem silly when He asked the blind man to wash out the clay He applied on Him instead of the healing?

Then, why does He do these things?

He was giving a FAITH WINDOW!!

A window is often used to describe a period. That is what He was doing in all these circumstances.

He gave them a choice: a period to test their faith..a period to strengthen their faith..a period to act upon their faith.

If you are asked to do something silly by the Lord, you are in the faith window today.

It is just a way of Him asking you to place your trust in Him…To act in blind obedience to Him..

It might not be something HUGE and definitely not something that would make sense to you.

Yet, make that ACT OF FAITH He asked you to do, however tiny and silly it may seem.

It won’t be easy and it MIGHT (more often than not) make you look like an IDIOT in front of the world.

Still, I wouldn’t mind looking like an IDIOT for my Lord.

He looked like one when He was hung up on that cross and I am no way better than HIM.
